Unifi/Controller/CloudKey

The UniFi Cloud Key securely runs a local instance of the UniFi Controller software and features cloud Single Sign-On for remote access.[1] The CloudKey is powered via 48V 802.3af or Passive PoE (Pairs 4, 5+; 7, 8 Return) or Micro-USB (5V via external power supply)[2]
Upgrading the Controller Version on a CloudKey[edit | edit source]
The CloudKey is programed to upgrade to the latest stable version of the controller software via a simple click of a button.
Upgrading the CloudKey Firmware[edit | edit source]
Upgrading CloudKey via Maintenance Page[edit | edit source]
From UniFi Cloud Key WebUI: Maintenance (lefthand side) -> UPDATE MANUALLY. From here you can either paste the URL, or if you downloaded the binary you can select the file locally on your computer.[3]
Upgrading Cloud Key via Command Line[edit | edit source]
You man also update the CloudKey firmware via the SSH interface by using the below command.[3]
ubnt-systool fwupdate <new-firmware-url>
So for example, to install version 0.8.2 (the current version as of the time of writing), you would run the following command.[3]
ubnt-systool fwupdate https://dl.ubnt.com/unifi/stage/cloudkey/firmware/UCK/UCK.mtk7623.v0.8.2.c653dde.171107.2039.bin
