Template:R from plural

When used with the "This is a redirect" (Redr) template:

Template This is a redirect may be used to add from one to seven rcat templates, along with their parameters and categories, to a redirect. For more information see the documentation page below.

When used by itself:

  • This is a redirect from a plural noun to its singular form. Either R from plural or R to singular may be used to tag plural redirects. For more information follow the bold category link.
    • This redirect link is used for convenience; it is often preferable to add the plural directly after the link (for example, links). However, do not replace these redirected links with a simpler link unless the page is updated for another reason (see WP:NOTBROKEN).
    • Use this rcat to tag only mainspace redirects; when plural forms are found in other namespaces, use R from modification instead.

Usage

Use this rcat template on mainspace redirects only.
#REDIRECT (target article title)

from plural
Template Redr is an alias for the This is a redirect template, which may be used to add up to seven appropriate rcats, along with their parameters, to a redirect. For more information see the documentation on its template page and its comparison page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:
#REDIRECT (target article title)

R from plural
This is in accord with instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.
  • Use this rcat to tag any mainspace redirect from the plural noun of a singular target.
  • Some plurals are printworthy, for example the Arabic and Latin forms. When you add this rcat to a redirect that you decide is printworthy, then use the unnamed parameter to subdue the unprintworthy category in the following manner:

or if applied individually:
printworthy
This will suppress the default Unprintworthy category and instead add the redirect to Category:Printworthy redirects.
